Nine Months Old

Genevieve, you're NINE months old!

What are you up to?

• You weigh 18 1/2 pounds.
• You are 26 3/4 inches tall.
• You still wear a size 3 diaper.
• You are transitioning into the 9-12 month sized clothing. However, a couple of your 6-9 months outfits still fit.
• You now have a valid reason to own a toothbrush! That's right, you finally have a tooth! Your bottom, left tooth made it's debut the day before you turned nine months old.
• You make a really cute face now that your gums aren't bare. I'm not exactly sure why you do it, but sometimes when you start laughing you squeeze your eyes closed and scrunch your nose. I think you know you are adorable!
• You now take baths in the big girl tub...without any padded walls to protect you! You love the freedom of the wide open bathtub!
• Finger foods have been a huge hit! Your favorite food right now is grilled cheese sandwiches. Rather than putting all of the pieces on your tray, I have to be careful to only put a few on your tray at a time...otherwise you try to shove all of the pieces into your mouth! You don't really like when I do that, but it is better than choking, my dear.
• You still would rather roll around to get places rather than crawl. However, you can now stand up when we stand you against something.
• You are still such a wonderful baby! Everyday your daddy and I thank God for allowing us to be your parents!
